These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by Car Wreckers Auckland Website (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using our services, you (“Customer” or “Vehicle Seller”) agree to be bound by these Terms in accordance with the laws of New Zealand and applicable regulations.

2. Services Provided

Car Wreckers Auckland offers:

• Purchase of vehicles in any condition (including damaged, unregistered, or non-running vehicles)
• Free vehicle removal within Auckland
• Payment upon collection
• Vehicle dismantling, recycling, and disposal

All services are delivered in a transparent, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner.

3. Eligibility to Sell a Vehicle

By selling a vehicle to us, you confirm that:

• You are the legal owner of the vehicle or authorised to sell it
• The vehicle is free of finance or encumbrances unless disclosed
• All information provided is accurate and complete
• We reserve the right to decline service if ownership cannot be verified.

4. Vehicle Ownership & Legal Obligations

Under New Zealand law, the Seller must:

• Notify the Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency of the sale or disposal
• Complete a Notice of Disposal
• Remove and return number plates where required
• Failure to do so may result in ongoing liability for the vehicle, including fines or registration obligations.
• The Company may assist with general guidance, but legal responsibility remains with the Seller.

5. Pricing and Payment

• Quotes are based on the details provided by the Seller
• Final pricing is confirmed upon inspection at collection
• Payment is made at the time of collection via agreed method
• The Company may revise or withdraw an offer if the vehicle differs from the description

6. Vehicle Collection & Removal

• Free removal is available within the Auckland region
• The Seller must ensure safe and reasonable access to the vehicle
• Delays caused by access issues or incorrect details are not the Company’s responsibility
• Ownership transfers to the Company once payment is made and the vehicle is collected.

7. Vehicle Condition

You agree that:

• The vehicle description is accurate
• Any damage or missing parts have been disclosed
• The vehicle contains no unlawful or unusual hazardous materials
• Failure to disclose relevant information may result in a revised offer or cancellation.

8. Environmental Compliance

Car Wreckers Auckland operates in accordance with:

• New Zealand environmental laws
• Waste and recycling regulations of the Auckland Council
• Vehicles are processed responsibly, including:
• Safe removal of fluids (oil, fuel, coolant)
• Recycling of parts and materials
• Proper disposal of hazardous components

9. Personal Property

• All personal belongings must be removed before collection.
  Any items left in the vehicle after collection will be considered abandoned and may be disposed of without liability.

10. Cancellation

• Bookings may be cancelled prior to dispatch
• If cancellation occurs after dispatch, reasonable costs may apply

11. Liability

The Company is not liable for:

• Loss resulting from incorrect or incomplete information
• Failure by the Seller to complete legal disposal requirements
• Personal items left in the vehicle
• Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable New Zealand consumer laws.

12. Privacy

• Personal information is collected solely for service delivery and communication.
  We comply with the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand).

13. Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand and applicable Auckland regulations.

14. Changes to Terms

• We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
